Impression. Bright, curious, outspoken, precocious. Zo, as she is known to friends, is a bold and friendly child, somewhat coarse and rough around the edges as a result of being orphaned so young. Of Westerosi descent, though raised in Braavos and has never known anything but the once secret city. Named Zokla by her father who liked the sound of the foreign word (High Valyrian for "wolf.") Has a gift for languages, picking up several from foreign traders on top of her native Braavosi. Before joining Hathaway, she was a beggar, unskilled laborer and pickpocket by turns. Accompanied at present by a direwolf acquired from ALASTAIR. Smiles and japes come easily to her, but her eyes are dark and heavy. A skilled liar who twists and plays with truth like a child with clay.
Mental. As a result of her experiences in Westeros, Arya is distrusting and guarded. She likes making friends, and does so easily, but these friendships tend to be largely superficial on her end, using lies as a buffer. In her mind, if people will inevitably leave her, it is easier to not become invested. Her sense of morality is largely black and white, thus she rationalizes much of what she does, but only to a degree — she does not think of herself as good because of what she has had to do, a belief which causes her significant distress. Moreover, the loss of her family left her desolate. She is grieving, angry, and has lost her north. She shows signs of child abuse in all four major categories (physical, psychological, sexual and neglect) and meets the criteria for a diagnosis of posttraumatic stress disorder.
Acrobatics → As part of her water dance lessons, Arya had to learn to balance in a variety of dangerous places, to stand and walk on her hands, to perform cartwheels and to jump, run and climb in beginner's Middle Ages fantasy parkour.
Horseback riding → Halfhorse, apparently.
Swimming → “Like a fish.”
Languages → Speaks the Common Tongue of Westeros, High Valyrian, Braavosi, Lysen, Pentoshi, and attempts to pick up other languages as part of her training.
Assassin's training → In the House of Black and White, Arya began training as a Faceless Man, the most feared guild of assassins in the known world. She already showed a knack for trickery, which was expanded upon. She was taught to perfect her disguises and covers; how to pick up on lies and how to lie more convincingly; to navigate and predict changes in her environment when sightless using hearing, touch, smell and taste; how to identify and make poisons; and to respect and care for the dead.
Skinchanger → Arya is a skinchanger. In simplest terms, she can enter the minds of animals and dictate their actions. (In theory, skinchangers can also slip into humans, although there has only been one successful case — by Arya's brother, Bran — and, in each instance shown, it is both very difficult for the skinchanger and even more traumatic for the target.) As she is bonded to a direwolf, she is also what is known as a warg. Arya's use of her ability is mostly passive and demonstrated thus far through her bond with her wolf, Nymeria, and when she slipped into the skin of cats in Braavos.

Direwolves are close relatives of wolves, though much larger, more powerful and more intelligent. In comparison to wolves, direwolves possess a larger head in proportion to their bodies and are longer of leg, as well. The muzzle is more pronounced. A direwolf possesses the strength to easily rip a man's arm from his socket.
Believed to have been extinct south of the Wall until Robb Stark discovered a dead direwolf and her litter of newborn pups: one pup was given to each of the Stark children. Arya named her direwolf Nymeria after the legendary Queen Nymeria of the Rhoynar who led her people across the sea to safety on ten thousand ships. Like the queen for which she was named, Nymeria, after being forced to part from Arya, led a pack of hundreds of wolves in the Riverlands.
Always a wild animal, almost two years fending for herself have made her wilder still. She has no fear of humans, but is not and never will be tame. Nymeria is protective of Arya, at times seemingly aware of risk toward Arya before it occurs, and will defend her violently if need be. The warg bond between them means a part of Arya lives within Nymeria just as a part of Nymeria lives within Arya. Their bond is strong enough that Nymeria can and does react to Arya's emotional state. Having an upsetting conversation with Nymeria present is a one-way ticket to a wolf bite.
